PET(Positron Emission Computed Tomography)is highly sensitive and has a quantitative measurement of the molecular imaging technology.And because there are many PET molecular imaging tracers,so that PET can be used to study a variety of physiological processes and disease.For example,early assessment of diagnosis and treatment of cancer and other diseases.Among the PET system,the probe collected data can quickly and accurately transmitted to the computer,will directly affect the overall performance of the PET system.An important feature of the system is the PET data capacity,high transfer rate requirements.So how fast and accurate transmission of large amounts of data to a computer,become a very urgent need.After extensive research found that In a typical computer bus,USB(Universal Serial Bus)not only has a compact,hot-swappable,scalability,low cost and good compatibility with version and so on merit,but also USB3.0 theoretical maximum transfer rate of up to 5.0Gb / s.Therefore,this paper presents the PET data transmission system design and implementation based on USB3.0.The paper first discusses the background and significance of current development topics and abroad.In the traditional PET data transmission system is analyzed and studied in detail at this stage PET transmission rate system based on demand.Chose to use USB3.0 interface technology,and design of high-speed data transmission system based on USB3.0 of PET.According to the overall design scheme of the system to select the hardware circuit chip,hardware design system hardware design is completed.Read FPGA programming manual procedures to achieve the FPGA USB3.0 processor control.Complete software development system including firmware,drivers and PC software,enabling hardware and software interaction.Then complete the system hardware and software debugging,followed by a joint commissioning system,Firmware enumeration re-enumeration test,sending test data.The accuracy of the final test system transmission rate and transmission.In the design,the biggest advantage than the use of ultra-high-speed USB3.0 technology.USB3.0 is the latest USB bus interface technology,with nearly ten times the USB2.0 transfer rates and higher energy efficiency,and backward compatible with all previous USB versions.We can say that ultra-high-speed USB3.0 bus interface technology is the future direction of the USB interface.The design After commissioning the experimental measured transfer rates up to 183 MB / s,compared to traditional PET Ethernet-based data transmission system designed in this paper based on the USB3.0 data transmission system,the transmission rate has improved significantly,fully meet the modern PET systems in the data transmission rate requirements.At the same time,the success of this design,the study and design of a later design application PET systems data transmission systems,has very important reference.
