Recently the theme of network applications has been transformed from hardware sharing to information sharing.Network applications are more concerned with the content itself and don't care where the content is located.Facing this profound change in application mode,the host-to-host communication mode of traditional IP networks has gradually exposed many problems such as scalability,security,and mobility.Therefore,the researchers proposed a content-centric concept and tried to design a completely new network architecture to replace the IP network.The Content Centric Network(CCN)is a representative network architecture based on this idea.The forwarding mechanism based on content name can overcome the problems faced by IP networks effectively.However,Now the content centric network only has the realization of the overlay network,and it can not get rid of the essential defects of the TCP/IP protocol and give full play to the advantages of CCN.In view of this situation,this paper proposes a underlay deployment scheme based on Ethernet and WiFi networks and developed a prototype system.This paper first analyzes the problems of CCN's underlay deployment and proposes specific solutions.For block-level transmission of CCN,jumbo frame technology is used on Ethernet to avoid the fragmentation of network packet.The Fragmentation mechanism is used in WiFi networks witch can not increase Maximum Transmission Unit(MTU).The CCN packet only has the content name as identifier.It can't achieve address translation by using the ARP protocol like the IP network.So it need to establishes the neighbor interface mapping table to record the physical addresses of neighboring nodes.In order to quickly detect the reachability of neighbor nodes,a link state detection method was designed.In order to reduce broadcast packets in the LAN,the self-learning mechanism of the FIB is designed at the consumer node.To confirm the feasibility of the deployment scheme,this paper developed a prototype system for the underlay deployment of CCN routing nodes based on thelinux system,and actually deployed a CCN network based on Ethernet and WiFi networks without IP.The file transfer Experiment was performed in different network scenarios.Experiments have proved that the underlay deployment scheme of CCN network proposed in this paper can completely get rid of the limitations of the TCP/IP protocol and give full play to the advantages and potential of the CCN network.In addition,this solution completely preserves the functions of Ethernet and WiFi networks,making the CCN network not only applicable to existing network topologies and network devices,but also compatible with the TCP/IP protocol.
