In order to solve the problems of insufficient address space, redundant data transmission and insufficient mobility support faced by traditional Internet, domestic and foreign scholars have proposed a content-centric network architecture—Content-Centric Network(CCN)..The biggest advantage of CCN is to support the caching mechanism,so that each router can "permanently" cache the network content to meet the users' subsequent requests. However, the current caching method has problems such as low space utilization, high content redundancy, poor content diversity, and low cache hit rate.In view of the above problems, this paper proposes improvements to the cache decision method and the cache replacement method to effectively improve the cache space utilization rate and cache hit rate.First of all, this paper briefly describes the research background and significance. In addition, the communication mode and key technologies of CCN are briefly introduced, and the more representative cache decision methods and cache replacement methods are introduced, and their advantages and disadvantages are analyzed.Secondly, the current cache decision method does not treat the network content "discriminately",which makes the cache content has high redundancy. This paper proposes a cache decision method based on potential energy(PECD).The method divides the content and nodes in CCN according to the users' access to the content and the distance between the router and the user. Finally, hierarchical caching is achieved by matching the levels of both.By treating the content differently, the redundancy of the cached content is reduced, and the utilization of the network cache space is improved. In addition, when the cache space of the router node is saturated, the replacement of the cached content is required. However, the impact factors of the current cache replacement method are relatively simple, and the future value of the cached content cannot be accurately estimated. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a cache replacement method based on potential energy cooling(PEC-Rep).The method comprehensively considers the users' access to the content and the access interval to estimate the value of the cached content in the router node. When replacement is needed, the content with the lowest value is replaced to achieve efficient use of the cache space. Finally,PECD and PEC-Rep proposed in this paper are simulated and validated by a simulation platform named CCNSim.The experimental results show that PECD and PEC-Rep methods have good network performance in terms of cache hit rate, content diversity and request hop count compared to existing methods.
