Food sharing community is a system where food can circle virtuously.Users operate sharing-refrigerator and its APP to store,share,and interact with food,to make feedbacks and credit management.To reduce food waste and help people in need,there are many sharing refrigerator projects which have gained good social feedbacks Food sharing community not only advocates sharing food but also sharing refrigerator,which provides a platform for food communication and food safety.It is made up of three steps which are concept proposing,theory study and design practice.Firstly,it proposes the concept of sharing-refrigerator and defines it.Through the refrigerator market research and household survey,the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the survey results were conducted to gain users cognition and demonstrate the value of the sharing-refrigerator.The user portrait of the sharing-refrigerator was created by analyzing the location and problem situation of the target users.Through the analysis of the user needs,it puts forward to build a food sharing community system with sharing-refrigerator as a terminal.Secondly,it introduces the soft system methodology into the system design of the food sharing community,this paper expounds the reason and significance.According to the research steps of soft system methodology,we first perceive and express the problem situation and find five points.Make the CATWOE six elements root definition of the related systems,and the establishment of five subsystems,which are food storage,food sharing,BBS,user feedback and user credit information subsystems.Finally,compare the system with the real world,seek reform and take actions.Based on this,the theoretical framework of sharing-refrigerator and APP is produced.Thirdly,it designs the sharing-refrigerator and APP prototype,then carries on the realizability evaluation and interface usability test.The test results are summarized and analysis.Lastly,make the system optimization and demo usage scenarios of target users which are sharing eatable food,collecting fresh express and renting sharing refrigerator.Its practical innovation lies in proposing,designing and advocating food sharing community,which can help reduce food waste.Its theoretical innovation lies in introducing the soft system methodology into solving the problems of sharingrefrigerator and food sharing community design,for industrial design students and practitioners in design related problems offering a new train of thought.
