Frame Analysis Of The Taiwan Social News On The Official Microblog Of Global Times

From the early hostility to the later peaceful exchanges,the development of cross-strait relations experienced a period of evolution from cold to hot.Chinese mainland officials have always adhered to the concept of "to intersect by heart,respect differences,enhance understanding",committed to create a good atmosphere for the realization of the national reunification.As the "ear,eye and mouthpiece" of the party and the people,the party newspaper can better reflect the mainstream position of the government and the people.This study takes microblog,the official of the Global Times,as an example of the Party media in the new media era.The purpose of this study is to explore the main framework presented by microblog in reporting news about Taiwan society,and to consider the subjective and objective reasons behind it.Some suggestions are also given to some of the problems.Based on some viewpoints of frame theory and content analysis method,this paper further restores the media preference framework and audience preference framework,and confirms the prominent performance of negative reports in the spread frequency and audience influence.With regard to the negative tendency that officials present when they report news about Taiwan's society,this article considers that the objective reasons are the long-term slander of Taiwan independence media and the information dependence caused by the restrictions on the news activities of the mainland media in Taiwan,in the light of the cross-strait situation and the characteristics of the media.The subjective reason is related to the distinct nationalist tendency of the media itself.As the long-term existence of negative tendencies may have a negative impact on the long-term development of cross-strait relations,this paper based on the perspective of news practice put forward some suggestions,including balancing the coverage of Taiwan-related news,showing a pluralistic Taiwan society;drawing a clear line between political news and social news,maintaining rationality;improving the ability to collect and edit of reporters in Taiwan,creating an atmosphere for cross-strait news exchanges;encouraging sound communication between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait,respecting the status of Taiwan society,and so on.We hope that the news media will play a positive role in the peaceful development of cross-strait relations.
