The recent Sino-U.S.trade war is the focus of international attention.In addition to playing games in the political,economic,and diplomatic fields,the Chinese and U.S.fights have become more intense in the field of international public opinion.Improving the ability to guide public opinion and firmly grasping the right of international discourse plays an increasingly important role in safeguarding national interests.In the field of domestic public opinion guidance and international public opinion games,the news media play a very important role.This article analyzes the "Global China" "China-US Trade War" news report in order to provide some inspiration for the mainstream media's framework construction and communication optimization of major international events.This article selects the period from March 2018 when the Sino-U.S.trade war officially kicks off to December 2019 when China and the United States have reached agreement on the text of the first phase of the Sino-U.S.economic and trade agreement.The Global Times' news report on the "China-U.S.trade war" is The research sample,using the content analysis method,from the perspective of the news frame theory,according to the three levels of the high-level structure,middle structure and bottom structure of the reporting framework,to construct the number of reports,the theme of the report,the source of the report,the genre of the report,The report tends to fall into 5 categories,and after analysis,it is found that "Global Times" has a clear advantage in reporting on the "China-US trade war" issue,which is reflected in the ability to actively set up a "hot agenda" to effectively guide public opinion;focus on trust The authoritativeness and diversity of sources enhances credibility and persuasion;in news reports,experts and scholars act as opinion leaders to achieve effective public opinion guidance.At the same time,the Global Times also has deficiencies in the news reporting framework and dissemination of the "China-US trade war" issue,mainly due to the single dimension of the reporting theme,the fixed structure of the news icon,the imbalance between official authority and folk discourse,and the news language Problems such as derailment from international discourse,lack of in-depth reporting,and insufficient information depth.Finally,the author attempts to analyze the news report of the Sino-US trade war through the Global Times to discuss the strategy of communication optimization,with a view to better reporting international issues to the mainstream media in my country,and providing reference for the effective guidance of public opinion.
