The Discourse Structure And Change Of Xinhua News Agency's Poverty Alleviation Reports

Under the background of remarkable achievements by China's targeted poverty alleviation,this study decided to focus on the subject of the Xinhua News Agency's poverty alleviation reports.Based on the theory of discourse analysis,from two dimensions of discourse structure and discourse change,through quantitative analysis of the sample,as well as to the qualitative research which conducted in-depth interviews with the old,middle-aged and young representative reporters in Xinhua news agency,the study comprehensively,systematically and deeply analyzed the discourse of poverty alleviation reports.According to the study,we got a couple of discoveries.First,in terms of discourse composition,China's poverty alleviation report is not only in direct proportion to the government's policy,but also has more and more flexible and diversified styles.Meanwhile,in-depth reports are increasing.In terms of discourse characteristics,objective and truthful reports are gradually increasing,and the coverage area is more inclined to the west,and more and more attention is paid to the external communication.In terms of discourse style,it is obvious that the characteristics of policy-led,War term,supporting roles,and reporting patterned,etc.And not only that,the style gradually show the development trend of specialization and humanization.In terms of discourse change,it is not only clearly influenced by China's poverty alleviation policy and its change,but also has constructed the pattern of the daily discourse and the public understanding to China's poverty alleviation policy.Through this research,we can see,the great practice of China's poverty alleviation fundamentally affect the poverty alleviation discourse structure,characteristics,style and change,but the discourse is not purely passive decided,it have also constructed the understanding and cognition about the anti-poverty practice.Therefore,the discourse analysis of poverty alleviation report is far-reaching and huge,and it is urgent for the press to further study in the future.
