Since the birth of the world's first children's museum at the end of the 19 th century,children's education has opened up a new chapter.Throughout the world,especially in the United States,children's museums have mushroomed and children's extracurricular education has made a qualitative breakthrough in both places and concepts.Compared to traditional museums,the Children's Museum rips off the “forbidden touch” label,fully granting children the freedom to move around and the right to explore independently,becoming a “children's paradise” that is completely child-centered.Let children do high school,use their own experience to gain knowledge,use their senses to explore the world,and become the backbone of early education.Children are the hope of the nation and the nation.Running children is the future of running the country.The development of children's museums is important.It is necessary to make good use of the resources of children's museums to get children to have better and more advanced education.Compared to other countries in the world,especially the pioneers in this field,the development of children's museums in our country lags behind.There are about 300 million children in China.There are only four children's museums that are truly independent.One of them is under preparation.About 70 million children in the United States have built nearly 400 children's museums,a sharp contrast.Children are in a critical period of growth and a special period.Children in this period are very easy to accept new things,important periods of intellectual,language,emotional,behavioral,moral,and aesthetic development.It is of utmost importance to conduct education that is scientific and child-friendly in this important period.The Children's Museum is such an institution dedicated to providing children with a learning environment that suits them and fosters their concept of lifelong learning.This article takes the Children's Museum at home and abroad as the research object,first analyzes and discusses their development history and current situation,combs out their exhibition contents and educational activities,affirms the development and progress of the domestic children's museum,and analyzes the inadequacies,and draws lessons from it.The excellent experience of foreign children's museums and the general advantages and characteristics of children's museums abroad were summarized;then the definition of children's museums and the differences with other entertainment venues were discussed,emphasizing that science and clear educational functions are the most important.Significant and most important functions,and put forward three educational theories that are very important for children's museums;Finally,summarizing children's museums' methods of children's education and educational purposes,discussing how to make children's museums better play children's educational functions,and analyzing China's future children's museum development trends,make recommendations.
