Reality shows originated in western countries,but reality shows have been developing in China for a long time.In our country,there has been a process which comes from the simple imitation of the original reality show to the localization of the reality show.During this process,most of the major TV stations have introduced foreign copyright programs,which has set off a wave of foreign reality shows in China.While the reality TV ratings soared,the questions about how to localize these reality show are raised.This question is also about how to make reality shows more adapted to Chinese market and Chinese audiences.It arouses the attention of the whole TV industry.Based on the development status of outdoor sports reality shows,this paper finds out the rules through data analysis and finds out the common problems in outdoor sports reality shows.Starting from the specific case which illustrates comparatively typical domestic outdoor sports reality localization case,bought from the American "The Amazing Race" : Shenzhen satellite TV " The Amazing Race".This program has made a good rating in the market share with quite great achievements,the show itself is relatively successful localization model.This article analyse the program from the perspectives of the content,form,narrative theme,values and narrative rhythm of the program.And find out the best experience worthy of learning and also its shortcomings.Finally,the problems in the localization of outdoor sports reality shows and the future development direction are discussed in the end of this article.Through the case analysis of the localization of outdoor sports reality show,this article aims at offering advices and suggestions to the Chinese reality show market,and providing the future development of domestic reality show with some referential experiences.
