Research On The Use Of Smart Phones By Migrant Workers And Its Influencing Factors

With the rapid development of communication technology,the traditional mobile phones based on communication and text messaging have developed into smartphones with their own independent operating system.The use of smart phones is increasingly attracting the attention of researchers.However,the current research on the behavior of smartphones targeted at college students,high school students and primary and secondary school students,neglecting such an important group of migrant workers.Targeted at migrant workers,Based on the TAM model,this study incorporates two new variables,acquaintance influence and perceived interest,in "situational" research orientation,"social influence theory" and perceptual interest theory,This paper studies the smartphone use behavior of migrant workers in two aspects: the cognition and the deep structure application of smartphones.This research focuses on the popularization of smartphones in Poplar Street,Jianggan District,Hangzhou City,Zhejiang Province and Hongzhou Village,Jiangshan Town,Yinzhou District,Ningbo City,Zhejiang Province.In addition,we interviewed 15 representative migrant workers in the effective samples.This study used analysis of variance,structural equation model Etc.for empirical research.The main conclusions of this study are:(1)The most important smartphone use functions for migrant workers are instant messaging,mobile browser,video and mobile payment.(2)The demand behind migrant workers' smartphones can be divided into five aspects: based on the demand of information communication,based on the demand of emotional communication,based on the demand of entertainment,based on the demand of obtaining information and based on the cost saving.(3)demographic factors such as gender,age,educational background and income level have significant impact on migrant workers' smartphone use behavior.(4)Factors influencing migrant workers' smartphone use behavior are perceived ease of use,perceived usefulness,attitude of use,acquaintance influence and perceived interest in the order of overall effect.Finally,for the group of migrant workers,this study made a number of suggestions on the industrial competition and optimization design of smartphones.
