Study On The Makerspace Service Of University Library In China

Affected by the maker culture,institutions,organizations,and departments,including university libraries,are in full swing in constructing maker space.In recent years,it has been the peak period for the development of China's maker space.This will become an important opportunity for the transformation and development of the college library,and a challenge to the library's traditional reading and learning.The library and the maker space are mainly based on interdisciplinary learning,knowledge management,and sharing in terms of service functions and social values.In the provision of facilities and equipment,and access to knowledge and information resources,they uphold the principle of fairness and equity.At the same time,the maker space exists in the university library,which also adds new service content to the library and activates the static traditional service model of the library as a dynamic and practical creative service model.This article first analyzes the research status quo of the college library maker space,and then introduces the connotation,meaning and value of the creating space of college libraries,and discusses the current situation of the service space of college library in China.After comparing the practice of the service,the necessity of the internal and external optimization of the library's maker space service was discussed.The actual situation of the maker space of the Wuhan University Library was discussed as a service strategy example for its construction,content of the service form,the user's situation and service request,and based on its advantages and disadvantages,it proposes solutions for optimization schemes and problems.Finally,on the basis of the proposed scheme,it further proposes an overall optimization strategy for college library maker space.Nowadays,the library maker space can be used as a communication platform for the concept of maker culture,a research base for experiments and research projects,and an incubator for innovation and entrepreneurship projects.It has become an important force for quality education and the transformation of libraries.The author hopes to sum up the status quo of the library maker space service in university and discover the real problems through the research.According to the actual situation of the university library in our country,the necessity and strategy of service optimization are proposed,sequentially to provide some references for the scientific and healthy development of the college library's maker space.
