Research On The Development Status And Countermeasures Of Maker Space In Chinese University Libraries

With the help of the development of information technology,"Maker" has set off the "Maker Movement".In 2015,the State Council issued an opinion on makerspace,and my country’s makerspace has entered a period of rapid development.At the same time,under the influence of the digital age of the Internet,the library is no longer the only place to obtain information,facing the test of transformation,which has set off service innovation of spatial change.The emergence of makerspace undoubtedly provides a new opportunity for the transformation and service innovation of public libraries.At present,the maker space in my country is still a relatively new field,and there are many challenges in the public library maker space service.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to discuss the service status and countermeasures of my country’s maker space for improving the service level of my country’s public libraries and promoting the development of my country’s library undertakings.Firstly introduces the development background of makerspace in my country from the theoretical level,and then expounds the related concepts,relationships and theoretical basis of makerspace in public libraries.Secondly,by adopting the methods of literature research,network survey,field survey and questionnaire survey,this paper investigates the public libraries of our country from three levels: "basic situation of maker space","maker librarian" and "maker" The status quo of maker space services,it is found that there are generally some deficiencies in the understanding of public libraries,vague spatial orientation,few activities,single content,the scope of service objects needs to be further expanded,the lack of technical training for makers,and the professionalism of maker librarians.Several issues such as ability and literacy need to be further improved.Finally,from clear spatial positioning,organizing rich maker activities,users first,organizing rich activities,optimizing services,paying attention to the elderly and children user groups,increasing maker technology and maker librarian training,and creating professional maker services The team has taken relevant measures such as increasing publicity efforts,raising awareness and influence,rationally planning,and creating a humanized communication space,in order to provide reference for improving the service level of public library maker space.
