Research On The Optimization Of Maker Space In Chinese University Libraries

With the rapid development of science and technology,makerspace in recent years has brought a new wave of research.The maker revolution not only has brought new opportunities for the transforming university library,but also brought new challenges.Makerspace is the promotion based on the information sharing space.It emphasizes the subjective position of human in information creation based on the construction of digital media space.It supplies materials,tools,and technologies to encourage people to exchange experiences,hands-on creation and participatory learning.It is is a new service concept to combine the maker space with university library,or creative spirit with library service,which should change and innovate in the application of maker space according to its own characteristics to improve the service level and the core competition of university libraries.This paper firstly analysis the current situation of university library,and the connotation of maker and makerspace,and analyses the value of makerspace and the practicability of the optimization of makerspace service in university library deeply.Then,on the basis of theoretical exploration,I chooses some makerspaces in domestic and foreign university libraries,combs and contrasts the concrete practice of its serve,analyze part of the selected cases and the reasons.Finally,the difference between the status quo of makerspace in Chinese university libraries and that of the world high level countries makes me put forward the feasible optimization measures for better library service and development which are not only based on China's national conditions and actual needs,but also rely on.The SWOT method I used to study the situation of makerspace in university library.This paper puts forward to feasible optimization measures to take a better serve for the users of the library and the development of the library.
