Research On The Comic Resources Construction And Reading Promotion Of Chinese And American Libraries

Comic,a kind of beneficial knowledge media,is also an important support for the animation industry.It is of great significance to develop teenagers' reading hobbies,improve their reading ability and provide entertainment for adults'reading.As a vital organization to carry information,develop intellectual resources and provide recreation,library should realize the value of comic resources,collect and exploit them for reading promotion activities to improve the utilization and attraction of library resources.American libraries have regarded comic as an important part of library resources construction.Comic has been used to carry out various reading promotion activities,formed many regular promotion project,and increased the population of the readers.Although libraries in China have some comic collection,they show low recognition and enthusiasm for comic resources and construction,carry out less reading promotion activities compared with American libraries,This paper discusses the significance of library comic,compares the research situation of libraries' comic resources construction and reading promotion,and explores the enlightenment for our libraries,in order to provide reference for comic construction and reading promotion in our libraries.The paper consists of six parts.The first part is the introduction,mainly elaborates the research background,research significance,research content,research method and innovation,and summarizes the research situation at home and abroad.The second part is theory part of comic,elaborates the definition,properties.classification and function of comic,discusses the meaning of comic collection in library,introduces the connotation of comic reading promotion.The third part introduces and compares the present situation of comic resource construction,analyzes the similarity and difference of amount,source and classification,the theme and representative works and writers of the comic collection,foreign comic book collection between China and America.The fourth part compares the comics reading promotion services between China and America from the perspective of comic resource recommendation and reader participation.The fifth part analyzes the enlightenment of American comic resource construction and reading promotion to our library.It is believed that the library in China should pay attention to the construction of comic resources.Secondly,we should ensure the diversification of comic resources.Thirdly,we should broaden the source channel of comic resources.Fourthly,we should pay attention to the classification of comic books.In reading promotion,firstly,we should set up a comic reading promotion department:Secondly,we should enrich the content of comics reading promotion:Thirdly,we should open up the cooperation mechanism of comic reading promotion.The sixth part is the summary of the paper and the prospect of future research.
