As the era of knowledge and economy comes along, China has begun to build a society with a type of learning in order to raise the quality of its citizens. Meanwhile, people have hardly satisfied to acquire knowledge only from schools, but also paid more attention to education off campus. As an important part of after-school education, museums were brought to the forefront by both Chinese government and people because of their unique collection of resources and advantages of locations. Also, people have started to realize the importance of museum education besides its collection and research functions. Furthermore, regulators have begun to activate museum’s function of residents’ education. Gradually, museums are defined as a part of national education system, especially as that of the primary and secondary students education system, which is an importent direction for their further development.Compared to other countries, museum education of China was started relatively late. Particularly, there are still many problems when it comes to carrying out a cooperation of museum with the primary and secondary school education. And these problems are, for instance, a lack of study for museum education theories, a lack of educational activities and effects under a cooperation between museums and schools. a lack of necessary professionals and effective communication between museums and schools, a wide gap existing between museums from various locations and levels in terms of educational activities. Therefore, this essay focuses on the museum education and the primary and secondary education, and it indicates a strategy study of how to promote the quality of museum educational activities in cooperation with the primary and secondary school education.Initially, the body part introduces a current developing situation of doing museum-school-combined educational activities both in China and western countries, which additionally summarizes some differences between them. Next, it analyzes the reasons for the present situation on the implementation of current qaulity education, and then demonstrates the significance of the cooperation between museums and schools with a concept of quality education. Finally, according to the analysis of the current situation and existing problems on Chinese museum-school-combined educational activities, some corresponding suggested solutions are proposed in this essay, in order to link the musem education and the school education in a form of the cooperation between museums and schools with quality education services.
