In the 12th five-year plan put forward the strategy of power network,and 19 dual background,put forward the strategy of rejuvenating rural mobile Internet covers 96%of the rural areas,the popularity of smart phones is to let the countryside environment impacted by the huge traditional media,so the new media era rural residents' media literacy problem is particularly important.In this paper,the author chooses a country that is familiar with the author,tian pu township,and the new media,WeChat,which is widely used in rural life,as the entry point to study the media literacy of WeChat users in tian pu township.Through questionnaire survey,observation method and interview method,obtain first-hand data and rich data.Questionnaires to the definition of media literacy combined with the functions and features of micro letter,examines the respondents use micro letter contact,select and use micro letter,thinking and differentiate micro letter information,and the ability to participate in four aspects to spread information,combined with a semi-structured interviews,basic shows the field spread township micro letter users to the current situation of media literacy.WeChat has a penetration rate of about 60%in TianPu township,but there is a great problem in media safety literacy when it comes to contact.On the choice and the ability to use media,general users can use WeChat meet their spiritual and cultural needs,but in the use of WeChat for young people production and living services better than the elderly.The majority of interviewees have weak thinking ability,and most of the information judgment starts from sensibility.Quite a few interviewees have certain information editing and communication skills,and the media participation ability is constantly improving.Finally,this paper considers the influencing factors of WeChat user media literacy in tianyu township,and puts forward Suggestions for improving rural residents' media literacy from the aspects of government,media and individuals.
