Research On The Service Of Human Library In University Library

With the rise of human library activities in China,university libraries have gradually realized the role of the human library service in the service innovation of the library.As a new reading concept and reading mode,the human library service can provide information and communication platform for university library users,which is of great significance for library reading promotion,readers' knowledge resources development and the construction of campus culture.This paper takes the human library services of university library as the main object of study,discusses the concept of the human library,introduces the development process of the human library,and points out the characteristics of the human library activity.Using network investigation and literature survey method,author selected five university libraries in China,and carried out comparative analysis of their activity modes and actual effects.This paper discusses the necessity and feasibility of carrying out human library service in university library from the three dimensions of readers,human books and libraries.Finally,the development strategy of human library service is put forward in the light of the existing problems in the activities of human Library in China.
