A Study Of The Strategies Of Constructing The Discourse Of Nationalism In People's Daily And Overseas Versions

Since modern times,nationalist ideology occupies an important position in the development of world political culture,which has become an important source of the legitimacy of the national state.All countries and countries of the world pay attention to the construction of nationalist discourse,so as to cultivate national identity and national identity,and to maintain national interests and social stability.With the continuous development of the contemporary mass media,the mass media has become an important source of power in the era of globalization,which can guide public opinion and even control public opinion.As an ideological tool,mass media has undisputed rights in the construction of nationalist discourse.Since the new century,China in the period of development and transformation,which faces internal conflicts and contradictions in the differentiation of the interests brought on,facing the foreign territorial conflicts of interests sovereignty political conflict and hegemony and with neighboring countries,nationalism is brewing in the national members and continuous fermentation,in particular emergency bowel hair,often form a kind of great power.A profound impact on the real world.Based on this realistic problem,this study takes the hot spot event "Nanhai arbitration case" in July 2016 as a case to analyze whether there is a nationalist discourse framework in the official mainstream media "Peoples Daily" and its overseas version in this event.What kind of narrative strategies used in this nationalist discourse framework are presented and constructed? Does the reporting framework inspire the nationalist sentiment of the people? What mechanism does this reporting framework stimulate nationalism?It uses content analysis and discourse analysis to make quantitative and qualitative analysis of the number,space,layout,reporting genre,theme,emotion and typical reviews.We conclude that reports by looking for historical and legal basis,for China in name South China Sea sovereignty and interests,stressed that the Chinese nation is a peace loving nation,the expression of China negotiation will explain Chinese foreign policy of peace and development and build a concept,although it is not reasonable infringement is still cool restraint,positive efforts,the overall image of Chinese heavy,to achieve national recognition and self identity;At the same time,through doubt and denial of the arbitration tribunal,the arbitration result,its interference,the United States and Japan hegemony on accusations of double standards,it created a country under his control,a flagrant violation of international law,the image of Philippines more provocative,and pressure,a hegemony to stirred up,double standards,false ego "the United States and Japan" image,realize the negation and questioning of the other nation.It can be seen that there is a "compatriot preference" in the framework of the official media in our country,it can be seen that the official media in our country has a "compatriot preference" in the framework of the report,this kind of "compatriot preference" is reflected by the affirmation of the national self and the negation of the other.In the report of the Peoples Daily and its overseas edition,the construction of nationalist discourse is more rational and positive.Earlier reports causes national members' interest in national interests and stimulated nationalist sentiments.The medium-term report shows the ability of the national state to safeguard the interests of the nation,as well as the unencumbent courage of the national dignity,so that the national mood can be reasonably guided and released.Later reports ablates the atmosphere of national hostility,promotes national reconciliation,and shows great power and responsibility.This study expects to provide useful reference and ideas for mass media to construct rational and active nationalist discourse by analyzing the reporting framework and narrative strategy of this case.
