Due to the trend that the government aims to strongly encourage intelligent manufacturing,the production of products should be reflected not only in the quantity,but in improving the efficiency of the manufacturing process by adopting new technology during the production process as well.RFID technology,as a sensing node,is reusable,accessible without contact and adaptable in various harsh environment etc,so it is applications in the field of industrial manufacturing have increased year by year.During the process of application,however,parts of products fail to use existing RFID tags for identification.Therefore,personalized design is in need.In this paper,aiming at tackling problems brought in the process of actual production,the PCB integrated RFID tag,which is produced through theoretical analysis,simulation and practical application of the test,are introduced into the manufacture of smart meters.The scheme achieves the purpose to maintain high reliability and low cost of RFID tag and provides prototype for smart meter enterprises to realize intelligent manufacturing and quality information traceability.This paper focuses on the research and design of PCB integrated RFID tag,based on the antenna theory and the main work is summarized as follows:1)After the investigation of the pilot enterprises,the performance indexes of the designed RFID tag are clearly put forward.The designed tags meet the basic reading and writing distance requirement of the smart meter manufacturing workshop,and have strong application reliability in the future.In view of the requirements about the product process code and surface mount technology(SMT),Impinj Monza4 has been selected as an integrated tag chip after the analysis and comparison of various types of RFID tag chip.Taking into account the influence originating from the physical properties of the tag on the tag performance and the convenience for the late pilot,FR-4 has been chosen to the integrated RFID tag substrate.2)On the basis of summarizing the principle of the slot antenna,miniaturized bent gap tag antenna is represented,after concluding the impedance trend of the tag antenna with electromagnetic simulation software to analyze the key parameters of the tag antenna.The RFID tag antenna has the full coverage of the global UHF RFID application band below-15 dB bandwidth.Finally,the distance and temperature reliability are tested.Test results shows that both the read and write distance is up to 1200 cm and 100 cm,and RFID tag performance have no alterations in the high temperature environment.The modular design of this tag provides a theoretical and practical basis for the design of PCB integrated RFID tag antennas.3)Two PCB integrated RFID tag antennas are designed according to the rules concluded above and the PCB layout of the energy meter.One is integrated with the PCB ground plane and the prototype tag of edge slot antenna.The other is the deformation of the inverted-F antenna.According to the dual principle,the traditional RFID folded-dipole antenna is evolved,and the capacitive end-loading is used to reduce the size of the tag antenna.The designed inverted-F tag antenna has a large range of adjustment according to the change of the structure parameter,which provides a favorable structure for the subsequent matching with other tag chips.Without modifying the original layout of the PCB alignment,the integrated RFID tag antenna achieves the conformal antenna via utilizing the original PCB ground copper.4)Combined with the actual manufacture of smart electric energy meter,the simulation and testing of shell,nameplate and multi-puzzle situation were introduced in the design of PCB integrated RFID tag.Results of the test illustrate that the reading distance of integrated tag is up to 100 cm or so,and the writing success rate with multi-puzzle mobility is close to 94% with or without the shell and nameplate.After the meter function test and the electromagnetic interference test,the tag is integrated into the smart meter,and the practical application of the PCB integrated RFID tag is introduced into the manufacturing plants.
