Design And Implementation Of Quotation Management System For Schindler Elevator Company

Quotation is something very important to represent the value of your solution to the client in this competitive business environment.Bidding on the project and representing abilities of the organization is a big challenge.In this regard organization needs a solid solution make quotations to bid on a particular project so that they can get the project with more productive benefits.This era is for Smart devices.Applications need to be more interactive and more descriptive visually.In this age of technology everyone tends to build their business applications more interactive to help increasing their productivity.Thus the Schindler Elevator and elevators company,they want their Quotation System to be more interactive with their clients.They want users to know the real time visuals of the parameter dynamics while filling out a quotation so that users take more interest and feel easy to take decision.Before that Schindler were doing all this work with a traditional legacy application.The proposed application would be A WPF(Windows Presentation Foundation)application,which will run on Microsoft Surface,make the user feel easy to change parameters and see the real time changes in the application in form of 3D models and graphs.For example different parameters of an elevator would be represented as:changes in height,color,step width and angle with ground and-etc will make the changes in the model in the application as well as price accordingly.Application will have the standard parameters saved in an XML.This will help their customers to choose their appropriate choice within their price range and according to their Building structure.This thesis presents the techniques used for design and development of this project.Use cases,use case diagrams,system sequence diagram,class diagram as well as management tools used for project management are presented.Later on post-development steps including testing are discussed in this document.
