The Research Of Barrage Video Under The Vision Of Carnival Theory

Since 2014,barrage video has been growing vigorously in China,and gradually out of the barrage video site,then cooperate with mainstream video sites,television,movie and other traditional medium successively.Nowadays,barrage has also found an increasingly wide utilization in more fields,such as games and live webcast.As an media form among a small crowd,we may say that the barrage has appeared in public view.Barrage video has brought into China for 8 years,but it didn't attract attention until recent years,while the study of this emerging media phenomenon appeared in the last two years.The Overall findings are less,besides direction and angle is relatively narrow,mostly concentrated in communication and subcultures.In this paper.I will use the theory of carnival raised by Bakhtin to do a new cultural analyzation with barrage video.Barrage comment has extrinsic characteristics such as nationwide,ritual and subversive,which tally with carnival ceremony.Freedom and equality of the spirit of dialogue,decentralization,criticism and deconstruction of authority,which reflected by the barrage culture,are reflections of carnival culture.To conclude,the two have a considerable degree of similarity.Applying the theory of carnival to barrage video,not only can guide people to treat this emerging cultural phenomenon in a rational perspective,hut also can inspire scholars to make more new ideas.This paper is mainly divided into three parts.The first part summarizes barrage and barrage video.Firstly,paper introduces barrage,the comment that can fly.Secondly,I systemize the generation,introduction,acceptance and development situation of barrage video in China.The second part,using specific cases,deeply analyzes the carnival characteristics of barrage video in three aspects.First,characteristics as nationwide,ritual appeared in barrage video,the carnival square,are discussed.Second,from the aspect of genre,I analyze revision and parody in barrage video.Third,thought of crowning and decrowning embedded in barrage video are explored.The third part reflects on the carnival phenomenon of barrage video.The existence of this kind of carnival phenomenon,influences by network technique and multicultural culture in social transition period.Secondly,there are some demands from customers behind carnival,such as away from anxiety and achieve relief,deconstruction of authority,pursue self-expression and acquire self-identity,etc.At last,indulging oneself in carnival may cause some problems,so we should heighten our vigilance to it.
