This paper is based on the Six Sigma theory,using the DMAIC model of Six Sigma theory,to study specific quality control for PCBA production flow in Company.Research scope:include problem definition,measurement evaluation,analysis,improvement and control for all kinds of influence on PCBA production dimension quality.Every chapter of this paper will be deployed by this scope gradually.Definition is the first step of Six Sigma DMAIC approach.Need to identify customer's requirements,firstly to analyze PCBA production dimension performance in Customer by Pareto Diagram,then to find specific problems according to the PCBA production flow chart.Measurement is the second stage of DMAIC,firstly use GRR(Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility)as the measurement system analysis tool to evaluate and improve PCBA production dimension measurement system.Then start to collect data from every work station of production flow.Use checklist and trend chart to analyze and organize data,so as to identify the possible approaches to solve the problem and improvement direction.Analysis is the most difficult to foresee all the stages of DMAIC.The researchers use the fishbone diagram to find out the main factors which impact the dimension quality.Use DOE(Design of Experiment)to check how the process parameters affect the problem occurrence,use checklist,Pareto chart and trend chart to analyze and find out the root causes which impact PCBA dimension quality.Improvement is to find the best solution for root causes,moreover,Need to verify these actions are effective by DOE.Need reengineering for incoming inspection and outgoing inspection procedure improvement.Use checklist and trend chart to get new data for further analysis and improvement.Thereby find how to improve the PCBA dimension quality.Control is an important step to maintain the improvement results.As the last stage of DMAIC model,it is very critical.Need standardization for incoming inspection procedure,outgoing inspection procedure,dimension inspection specification,dimension over upper limit solution and dimension over lower limit solution,and create process control system so as to ensure the maintenance of the improvement results.This paper entirely explains the management process to improve product quality in PCBA production flow by using DMAIC model,Put forward the improvement actions to solve product quality issue,Accumulate some experience to enhance company quality management capability,and provide more scientific tool and method.
