The arrival of "new era of quality" asks for higher requirements to enterprise quality management. It is no doubt that Six Sigma quality management is the powerful instrument for enterprise to control quality. Based on home and abroad research and application, this article focuses on "Study and application on Six Sigma quality management system for manufacturing process", discusses the methods of process capability quality control and management in miniature bearing manufacturing conditions. Furthermore, we develop Six Sigma prototype system for manufacturing process and research it with real practice.The whole thesis is divided into six chapters:Chapter one illustrates the development of quality management and the general research situation of Six Sigma initiative at present. Six Sigma is upcoming quality improvement process and is proving to be a powerful tool for solving complex problems, especially in manufacturing issues. Later we introduce our research topic- Study on Six Sigma Quality Management System for Manufacturing Process.Since quality control during manufacture process plays an important role in product quality of miniature bearing, in Chapter two, we derive the function requirement of the system by analyzing to quality control activity of miniature bearing manufacture process and using the Six Sigma principle and method. Based on above idea, we construct the structure of the system , and give the function module of it.Data collection is the significant module of the system. In Chapter three, we introduce the development of inductance micro-meter dial with single chip micro-computer, which can inspect and collect quality data of miniature bearing ferrule accurately in good time, we also execute measurement system analysis for measuring module with Six Sigma statistic index and methods.According to above system requirement analysis, in Chapter four, we construct the database structure and date dictionary of primary objects, give the program structural module, illustrate the function of each module and the communication ways of each other, and finally we develop the prototype system of the Six Sigma quality management system for manufacturing process.In chapter five, we research the application analysis of the system with example in miniature bearing manufacturing process. Based on the system, the experience of applying the Six Sigma approach and its data analysis tools to the resolution of manufacturing issues has yielded significant results.Finally, chapter six makes a conclusion of the whole thesis and puts forward the future research in this field.
