Along with the pace of the urbanization of our country,the city's public security and traffic problems are becoming a stumbling block to the healthy development of the city.Because the video surveillance system can effectively solve the city's public order and traffic problems,the major cities attach great importance to the development of the video surveillance system,and actively participate in the construction of the video surveillance system.Network bandwidth and storage space has been restricting the development of video surveillance system for the two major factors,if the low bandwidth conditions can quickly transmit high-definition video and the small storage conditions can get HD video,then the performance of video surveillance system will be improved by leaps and bounds.The new generation of video compression standard HEVC/H.265 came into being,the H.265 standard is the video compression standard which is combined by ITU and ISO.The performance of the video compression is more and more attention.In this paper,the H.265 video compression standard encoding framework,the key technology and the decoding principle of H.265 compressed stream are summarized in detail,and has completed the design and implementation of streaming media player based on H.265.First of all,this paper describes the H.265 video compression standard encoding framework,the key technology and the decoding principle of H.265 compressed stream,and through the comparison of H.265 and H.264 key technologies to highlight the H.265 standard efficient video compression performance.Secondly,through the introduction of RTP/RTCP and RTSP streaming media protocol,the feasibility of the interaction of streaming media player and network camera and the real-time transmission of video is ensured.Then,according to the research method and purpose of this paper,the architecture of the streaming media player based on layered architecture is designed,which can be divided into four layers: data receiving layer,data processing layer,data decoding la yer and data display layer.Finally,according to the function of streaming media player,through the user interface,streaming media file playback,local file playback three aspects of the realization of the streaming media player.The results of the three groups of comparative experiments show that,in terms of video compression,H.265 standard compression performance than the H.264 nearly doubled.These advantages of H.265 standard are very good to solve the problem of low network bandwidth and small storage space in video surveillance system.
