On the background of the development of the mew times,Chinese overall national strength increased constantly increases.However,the appearance of ocean problems poses a severe challenge to the ocean power of the nation.China is a country of numerous oceans,but not a country of great ocean power.Oceans play an important role in the development of the country and the nation.Our country has established the development strategy of “country of great ocean power”.To establish nation of great ocean powers,we must make use of the soft cultures,such us ocean culture,ocean consciousness,and so on.The national people's ocean consciousness is a ruler to measure the national ocean power.Senior high school is an important part of the fundamental education.The senior high school students are in the special period,so improving the ocean consciousness level of the senior high school students to train reserve talents is the first step to build the nation of great ocean powers.Classes are the main places for senior high school students to study,and middle school geography has the role of fostering ocean consciousness in the fundamental education.Therefore,it is a must to carry out ocean consciousness education in the senior high school geography classes.This article is mainly divided into six chapters: The first chapter is the introduction,including research background,research purpose,research meaning,research routes,research methods,and research focus and difficulties.The second chapter defines the key concepts in this article,and makes a documentary review of the current situation of the ocean consciousness teaching at home and abroad.The third chapter states the meanings of the ocean consciousness,analyses the differences of the ocean consciousness undertaken by different subjects,defines the ocean consciousness which should be cultivated in the geography subject according to the classification of the ocean consciousness and with the combination of the attribute of geography and the requirement of geography curriculum standard.It includes the following dimensions: ocean environment consciousness,ocean resources consciousness,ocean right consciousness and ocean technology consciousness.The fourth chapter illustrates the basis of making the questionnaire and the selection of the research subjects.At the same time,this chapter points at the results of the questionnaire to know the ocean consciousness state of the senior high school teachers.Also,itanalyzes the affecting factors,and the disadvantages are as follows: first,the content of required course which is related to ocean education is limited;second,teachers doesn't have a thorough understanding of the ocean consciousness dimensions;third,there is less assessment and evaluation related to ocean education.The advantages are as follows: first,the ocean disputes enhance ocean territorial awareness;second,the development of aircraft carrier enhances the ocean technology consciousness.The fifth chapter comes up with the strategy of cultivating senior high school student ocean consciousness according to the research results.It mainly starts from the following aspects: first is the the choice and organization strategy of the ocean consciousness education content;second is the choice and organization strategy of the ocean consciousness education and teaching methods;third is the improvement strategy of the ocean quality of the teachers;fourth is the evaluation strategy of students' ocean consciousness.The sixth chapter is the summary,which concludes the fruits and deficiency of the thesis and makes prospect.This article uses documentary research method,questionnaire survey method to obtain the theoretical and data basis,and uses senior high school geography teachers as the survey object for research and analyzing.We hope the research of the subject can enhance the ocean consciousness meaning,provide some reference for other subjects' teaching of cultivating ocean consciousness,and provide certain reference for improving teaching situation of the ocean consciousness.
