With the advancement of the new curriculum reform, new requirements are put forward for Chinese education, which requires that students should be trained to have a broad vision in the teaching process, and the dialogue and communication among teachers, students and texts should be strengthened.Because novels have a strong educational function,in the current research process, novel teaching has been highly valued by many researchers. However, there are still many problems in the teaching of novels at present, and the teaching of novels in junior high schools needs the guidance of the theory of fusion of horizons. On the one hand,we can enrich the theoretical framework of novel teaching research by placing novel teaching in the perspective of fusion of horizons. On the other hand,it is of great guiding significance to the teaching practice of frontline teachers. In this study,we investigated our research subjects through case study, observation and interview methods, and found that the following problems exist in the teaching of junior high school novels: the superficial interpretation of texts leads to the lack of teacher-centered dialogue;Indifference of students' experience leads to poor dialogue between teachers and students. The simplification of teaching organization activities leads to insufficient communication between students.Based on this, after careful analysis, summary and promotion,we put forward the teaching strategy of junior high school novels from the perspective of horizon fusion theory: to improve teachers' ability of text interpretation and enhance the fusion of teachers' horizon and text horizon;Strengthen the dialogue and communication between teachers and students, and enhance the fusion of horizons between teachers and students;Create a reasonable situation and enhance the fusion of students' horizons.
