| On March 18,2019,General Secretary Xi Jinping proposed at the School’s Ideological and Political Theory Teacher’s Forum that teachers of ideological and political courses should have a “Wide Horizons”,and they must have a knowledge, international, and historical horizons. For a while, the "Wide Horizons" of ideological and political teachers became one of the hotspots of academic research. The improvement of "Wide Horizons" literacy is a common requirement for strengthening the construction of high school ideological and political course teachers, promoting curriculum innovation and development and cultivating "new people of the era".At present, there is still a big gap between the current situation of high school ideological and political teachers’ horizons and the goal of "Wide Horizons ",which not only affects the improvement of teachers’ literacy but also hinders the cultivation of students’ core literacy of subjects. Therefore, studying the basic connotation, main content, influencing factors and proposing targeted improvement paths of high school ideological and political course teachers’ "Wide Horizons" is an important link to comprehensively improve the high school ideological and political course teachers’ literacy and implement the fundamental task of to establish morality. The main content of the high school ideological and political course teachers’ " Wide Horizons" literacy includes broad knowledge horizons, open international horizons, and three-dimensional and in-depth historical horizons.Firstly, the broad field of knowledge horizons requires high school ideological and political teachers to possess professional knowledge of ideology and politics, educational science knowledge, teaching practical knowledge, integrated relevant subject knowledge and general knowledge.Secondly,an open international horizons requires high school ideological and political teachers to look at the world situation from a comprehensive and dialectical point of view,to have the ability to absorb and learn from the excellent educational experience of various countries, and to have the awareness and ability of cultivating students’ global perspective.Thirdly,a three-dimensional and in-depth historical horizons requires high school ideological and political teachers should have a deep insight into the history and laws of human social development, and have the ability to mirror lessons from history and use historical memory to build students’ political identity. This article combines the questionnaire survey and the observation and analysis in teaching practice, and finds that the current high school ideological and political teachers have problems that need to be expanded in terms of knowledge, international and historical horizons. The main reasons are the teachers in the ideological and political courses of high school have insufficient self-development of their horizons, the insufficient support of the schools for the expansion of the horizons of the teachers, and the lack of a complete communication training system to promote the continuous development of the horizons of the teachers. In this regard, high school ideological and political teachers themselves should strengthen their awareness of expanding horizons, improve their ability to expand their horizons, integrate internal and external perspectives, and actively learn and use history to achieve independent expansion of their horizons;schools should pay attention to the reform and innovation of high school ideological and political courses and the development of teachers, establish a comprehensive assessment and evaluation mechanism that promotes the development of teachers, and establish a horizons expansion leading group to provide assistance for teachers to broaden their horizons;the education management department should improve the exchange and training system, promote the exchange and mutual learning of teachers between schools and peers, strengthen the training of relevant knowledge and abilities under the new curriculum standard, improve the overseas exchange and training mechanism and strengthen the "Four History" education to help high school ideological and political teachers to broaden their horizons. |
