Interpretation of Chinese teaching and learning text is an important part of the teaching and learning of Chinese reading, the quality of the text interpretation often determines the quality of reading teaching and learning. The new curriculum standard clearly points out that reading teaching and learning is a process of dialogue among students, teachers, textbook editors, and texts. However, the current Chinese teaching and learning text interpretation practice, there are such as "text first", "teacher first", "students first" and other wrong interpretation of the concept. Interpretation of the text of these ideas are only one interpretation of the main body, contrary to the spirit of the new curriculum standard, causing a lot of problems, such as one-sided understanding, understanding does not accord with students or understanding is not in conformity with the text, reducing the quality of the teaching and learning of reading. German philosopher Hans-Georg Gadamer’s fusion of horizons theory emphasizes understanding is that horizon fusion between subject and object, and that the subject and object are equal dialogue relations. This concept is consistent with the spirit of the new curriculum standard. The purpose of this study is to apply the theory of fusion of horizons to the interpretation of Chinese teaching and learning text, in order to reform the concept of text interpretation and improve the quality of reading teaching and learning. In addition, this study uses literature research and case study method. This study realized several innovations:the use of a number of new cases; put forward some new ideas; research has become more comprehensive. In order to realize the purpose of the study, we first grasp the meaning of the fusion of horizons, and trace the origin of the theory of fusion of horizons. Then we elaborate the connotation of the Chinese teaching and learning text interpretation of the fusion of horizons. Firstly, we define its connotation, it emphasizes that Chinese teaching and learning text interpretation is the process of mutual integration of the students’horizon, the teacher’s horizon, the textbook editor’s horizon and the text horizon. Secondly, we summarize its characteristics, including:multilateral, bi-directional, fuzziness and ascending. Thirdly, we analyze the dimension, is divided into four aspects:the fusion of horizons between teachers and students respectively with text; the fusion of horizons between teachers and students respectively with the editors; the fusion of horizons between teachers and students; the fusion of horizons between students and students. Then we examine the value of Chinese teaching and learning text interpretation of the fusion of horizons. For students:to highlight the main status of students, and to be respect for students’ individual reading; for teachers:to reshape the role of teachers, and to make the development of teaching wisdom; for text:to enrich the text meaning, and to realize the value of the text. Finally, we focus on practical application and explore the principles and strategies of Chinese teaching and learning text interpretation of the fusion of horizons. There are four principles:equality, openness, experience, diversity and bounded. Strategy:first, the premise of the Chinese teaching and learning text interpretation of the fusion of horizons is pre-understanding; second, the way of the Chinese teaching and learning text interpretation of the fusion of horizons is dialogue; third, the mode of the Chinese teaching and learning text interpretation of the fusion of horizons is hermeneutic circle; Fourth, the purpose of the evaluation of the Chinese teaching and learning text interpretation of the fusion of horizons is to promote the development of students.
