Students are the future of the country and the hope of the nation.As environmental problems become more and more serious,only if they have established a correct view of the environment can they promote the harmonious development of people and the environment in their future.At the same time,after the Ministry of Education put forward the Opinions on Comprehensively Deepening Curriculum Reform and Implementing the Fundamental Tasks of Establishing Morals in January 2017,the General High School Geography Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition)was promulgated.In the context of the new curriculum reform,high school geography teachers should research on environmental education teaching strategies based on the General High School Geography Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition)to enrich students 'environmental knowledge and cultivate students' correct awareness of environmental protection.Therefore,teachers should constantly strength the study of environmental education teaching strategies in high school.It's not only a requirement for improving the professional quality of teachers,but also a need for students' personal progress,but also the key to achieving sustainable social development.Based on the survey of geography teaching,environmental education and other related literature in high school,this article uses the literature analysis method,questionnaire survey method,interview method and statistical analysis method to investigate the current status of environmental education in the high school geography curriculum in Xinyang City,and exist problems and causes of environmental education.Finally,combined with the actual situation of geography teaching in high school in Xinyang City,the teaching strategy and optimization suggestions for implementing environmental education were put forward,and different teaching cases were shown.First,we selected 480 students from 12 classes in 4 high schools in Xinyang City,County,and Townships in Henan Province as the target of the survey to analyze and study the current status of environmental education in their schools.The research results show that(1)environmental education in the high school geography curriculum in Xinyang City has been implemented to a certain degree and students have a certain basic knowledge of the environment;(2)there are also certain problems,for example,studentshave certain limitations in basic environmental knowledge.They master most of the basic environmental knowledge,which is limited to the scope of the college entrance examination,and they lack the depth and breadth of environmental knowledge;(3)students' awareness of environmental protection and the environmental behavior has shallow characteristics;(4)the environmental education teaching in the high school geography curriculum has the problems of the simplification of the education model and the teachers are the lack of professional knowledge of environmental.Secondly,on the basis of special interviews with teachers of 4 high school geography courses at the three levels of Xinyang City,County,and Town,the current problems and causes of environmental education in the geography courses of Xinyang City high school are explored.The research results show that(1)environmental education has not been given attention;(2)lack of the professional environment of geography teachers;(3)the resources for environmental education teaching is insufficient,and the related environmental education materials need to be further developed;(4)The environmental education function of the geography subject has not attracted enough attention.Finally,on the basis of the analysis of the problems and causes of environmental education in the high school geography curriculum in Xinyang City,the environmental education teaching strategies and optimization suggestions were show that(1)transform traditional thoughts and attach importance to environmental education.Only by paying more attention to environmental education can schools incorporate environmental education into the school education system.And then environmental education is no longer a spontaneous behavior of teachers,but has certain compulsory;(2)Strength teacher training and improve teachers' environmental literacy.Geography teachers can learn the relevant knowledge of environmental education through a variety of ways and methods in the teaching process to enrich their professional knowledge of environmental education;(3)Excavate geographic materials and enrich environmental education resources.Teachers can use the content in the teaching materials to guide students to learn environmental knowledge,and develop rural land resources for environmental education;(4)go out of the classroom campus and carry out various environmental protection activities.Teachers can organize students to understand the surrounding environmental knowledge in various ways,participate in environmental protection in various forms,and enhance students' sense of responsibility for environmental protection;(5)teachers can also activate the classroomatmosphere and use geography teaching media.It can make full use of modern educational technology to stimulate students' interest in learning environmental knowledge;(6)teachers should pay more attention to scientific and reasonable assessment of environmental education,focus on the evaluation of students' awareness of environmental protection,environmental problem solving skills,and enthusiasm,initiative and behavior of environmental protection.
