Study On Community Inclusion Of Persons With Disabilities

The people with disabilities are the vulnerable groups in the society.They have been excluded and segregated from all aspects of the society for a long time.They are far away from the mainstream life of the society and face many difficulties and obstacles in the process of social integration.This study takes the project of community inclusion of the persons with disabilities in H social work institution in Guangzhou as a case study,taking the disabled persons and their related personnel in A street of Guangzhou as the object of study,taking interviews and participatory observation.Literature research and other methods to collect research data.From the perspective of social work empowerment theory,this paper analyzes the problems and difficulties faced by the disabled in the integration of the community.The study found that people with disabilities face the challenge of inclusion in the community The following three problems: the interpersonal relationship is too simple and narrow,the community resource is difficult to use,the social participation consciousness and the participation degree are low.Based on the analysis of the interview data,this study finds that there are many reasons for the difficulties in the integration of the disabled community,which include the negative self-evaluation and long-term self-closure of the disabled,and the lack of social support.Exclusion and segregation of the social environment,in which inadequate social support for persons with disabilities relates to inadequate support for social policies related to persons with disabilities,inadequate professional services for social work and negative attitudes of family members,Exclusion and segregation of the social environment contain social concepts Exclusion and restrictions on hard environmental facilities can all create barriers to community inclusion of persons with disabilities.This study also found that social work institutions mainly from the individual level,interpersonal relationship level,community level and social participation level to enhance the rights of the.The aim is,first,to improve the sense of self-efficacy and to develop the ability to live of persons with disabilities,and secondly to improve their ability to interact with and expand their relationships,and then to link them to the internal and external resources of the community for persons with disabilities,Finally,the adoption of community work and social action to create a more inclusive community and social environment,promote the inclusion of communities with disabilities.This study also discusses the application of empowerment in the project of community inclusion of the disabled.How to realize the empowerment of the disabled by the individual's own active empowerment mode and the external power increasing mode,and what kind of predicament these two models are facing in the disability empowerment.Of course,the integration of the people with disabilities into the community and even the social integration is a difficult and long process.To achieve this goal,it is far from enough to rely solely on the power of social work to empower them.It also requires the participation of other social forces.Give full play to the strength of all walks of life,create a social environment conducive to the empowerment of the persons with disabilities,and promote the integration of their communities and even social integration.
