| China is the country with the largest number of disabled people in the world, and the care needs of the disabled are also increasing year by year.Traditional family care is difficult to meet the care needs of the disabled due to the weakening of the family care function, institutional care is criticized for the lack of humane social integration concept, and community care is gradually becoming the main model of care for the disabled. However, whether family-centred or community-centred,care for persons with disabilities often relies on a specific unit to provide a relatively single service, which is difficult to meet the diverse care needs of persons with disabilities.Social work,as a professional service force, intervenes in the community care of persons with disabilities, providing the possibility of solving problems in the care of persons with disabilities.Taking the case of Z Community T in Lanzhou as an example, this paper uses the theory of community care to discuss how social work can intervene in the community care of the disabled to meet the diversified service needs of the disabled. The research adopts participatory observation and interview to understand the basic situation of the disabled in the community. It is found that there is a contradiction between the singleness of the care subject and the diversity of the problem needs in the community care for the disabled. The disabled in the community are mainly faced with difficulties in traveling, lack of emotional support, medical and health problems, difficulties in social participation and social integration, etc.Social workers have designed personalized comprehensive service programs for the clients for help, and through the comprehensive intervention of individuals, families and communities, they have met the diverse needs of the disabled, thus achieving good community care for the disabled. This study holds that the comprehensive intervention of social work in community care for the disabled is feasible and effective, and further summarizes and refines the individual-family-community comprehensive service mode of social work in community care for the disabled, and reflects on its effect and applicability. |
