At present,socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era,which has brought opportunities and challenges to the future development of our children.Childhood is at an important stage in shaping and cultivating a sound outlook on life,values,and world view.It is also a critical period for cultivating a generation of talents with ideals,morals,culture,and discipline.For children with learning disabilities,as well as ordinary children,there is a need for healthy physical and mental development,which is also part of my country's strategic talent resources.The main performance of learning disabilities is the lag in academic performance.Many people think that learning disabilities are caused by intellectual problems.In fact,learning disabilities are not caused by mental retardation,bad environment or emotional disorders,but problems in listening,speaking,reading,writing,and calculation.Therefore,children with learning disabilities appear to be lower in power than ordinary children and lack the confidence to complete academic tasks.By combing the research status of children with learning disabilities at home and abroad,and using professional methods of social work to conduct case studies,I can not only grasp the service needs of children with learning disabilities,but also use social work to intervene in the growth process of children with learning disabilities,and to social work for learning disabilities.The development of research is of great significance.This study first sorts out related concepts such as Learning Disabilities and Empowerment Theories,uses qualitative research methods of case studies,then analyzes the process of empowering children with learning disabilities through interviews and observations,and finally puts forward corresponding suggestions for improvement based on practical situations.In the process of empowerment,children with learning disabilities at the individual level have a correct understanding and assessment of themselves,and are more confident in solving academic problems;at the interpersonal level,children with learning disabilities establish harmonious and friendly interpersonal relationships with others and can communicate in a good family environment.Grow up here,and are accepted and cared for inschools and communities,gain more support,and work together to overcome obstacles;at the level of social participation,when children with learning disabilities are promoted by positive external forces,they will also actively obtain social resources,empower and achieve self-development goals.Finally,the author summarizes the advantages and limitations of this study,and puts forward countermeasures and suggestions for the field of learning disabilities social work,including the implementation of social work services for people with learning disabilities of all ages,the establishment of social relationship networks for children with learning disabilities,and the promotion of localization of learning disabilities social work development,etc.
