Social Work Practice Of Advanced Cancer Patients From The Perspective Of Family Resilience

The number of cancer cases and the number of cancer deaths have increased year by year,and cancer is becoming a major and deadly disease worldwide.Patients with advanced cancer are facing a future of sudden death,patients and their families are trapped in physical and psychological stress,and the confusion caused by uncertain deaths,the whole family is in a major crisis.In this study,families of patients with advanced cancer were selected as subjects.Under the guidance of the theory of family stress resistance,data were collected through face-to-face interviews and participatory observation methods,and the analysis of different types of advanced cancer families was conducted using generic analysis.Through three key processes that affect family resilience: belief systems,organizational models,and communication processes to identify family strengths and weaknesses,and conclude that there are barriers to family communication in patients with advanced cancer.This is also the direction and focus of this research practice.This study explores the applicability of social work intervention in the improvement of family resilience in patients with advanced cancer,the discussion of the fit of social work service methods,and analyzes the inevitability and feasibility of social work intervention and the complementarity of cases and group work methods at the micro level.Based on the foundation of the “Hospice Service Social Work Demonstration Project”,this research uses the group and case practice in the Hospice Institute of G Province to explore the improvement and cultivation of family resilience in patients with advanced cancer.Serving and participating in observational research,exploring new ways and dimensions of intervention in advanced cancer patients,and strengthening the family's common participation to promote family self-healing and functional recovery,finding and using family strengths and resources,and establishing“Anti-resistance”After the process of rebellion,families can have more resources to deal with problems and crises that have not yet occurred.Through summarizing and reflecting on the group and casework,the successful experiences and shortcomings of the group and case work are summarized.The researchers find that the working methods of the family resilience team are not applicable in the field of nurturing services.The case study has achieved certain results,which can promote the late cancer families to seek the advantages and potentials inside and outside the family,and to think about family relationships and new life plans.Finally,the researchers summarized and reflected on the application of the theory,the practical application,and the individual level of the researcher.
