In the time of mobile internet technology leading the trend of the times,the strict boundary between traditional media and new media has been broken,and integrated development is imminent.As the coming of media convergence,mobile APP has evolved from a single communication tool to an integrated media that affects people's clothing,food,housing,and travel.The sports news APP studied in this paper is one of the representatives.With the advantages of personalized content push and vertical social communication,sports news app has become an important channel for audiences to obtain professional sports information.This paper takes the information dissemination status of sports news APP and the communication effect generated by users as the starting point,and analyzes the communication effect,function and characteristics of sports news APP.The uses and gratifications theory proposes that when researching the social impact of mass communication,we shall start from the perspective of the audience to understand what desire the audience meet through media contact,in which way,we can investigate the impact of mass communication on the behavior and psychology of the audience.In addition,the theory stresses that the initiative of selecting media is in the hands of the audience.This paper therefore focuses on the group of college students who have free choices.They have modern point of view and high-quality requirements,so this paper chooses college students as the research object of audiences influenced by the modern media,adopts both qualitative and quantitative methods such as literature research,semi-structured interviewing and questionnaire survey,attempts to explore how sports news APP meet the needs of college students and information communication effects based on customer use.Firstly,based on analyses of predecessors,the author analyzed the characteristics of the dissemination function of sports news APP and the factors affecting itscommunication effect in the media convergence,so as to examine the communication effect and influence of sports news APP.Secondly,the author quantifies the statistical results of the questionnaire survey,and combines the semi-structured interview content to summarize the satisfaction of the sports news APP on the demand of college students and the effect of cognition and behavior.Finally,in view of the current situation of the dissemination of sports news APP,the author puts forward relevant strategies to enhance the communication effect of sports news APP.In sports news APP,college students' needs satisfaction on cognitive and behavioral level are interacted and interplayed.Only the sports news app be better to meet the user's usage habits,and constantly update the function settings,and innovate the content products,can it develop better in the market and achieve better communication effects.
