In October 2017,in the report of the Party's 19 th Congress,General Secretary Xi Jinping stressed the significance of science and technology for accelerating the construction of an innovative country.As a component of the national innovation system,Science and Technology Communication is an important factor influencing technological innovation,economic development,and national strength,and a fundamental social undertaking that must be vigorously developed in the era of knowledge-based economy.Under the background of changing and cooperating development of traditional and new media,the construction of university students' science and technology communication ability is not only for meeting the needs of science and technology communication environment in the convergence media era,but also an inevitable requirement to enhance the national science and technology dissemination capabilities,and the social responsibility to improve public scientific literacy.Based on the above background and previous research,i combine with the case of Chinese university students' science and technology dissemination,try to determine the elements and build a model of science and technology communication ability of them in the convergence media era,and adopt questionnaires to target university students in Wuhan.Research the current situation of university students' science and technology communication ability under the horizon of the model,and propose corresponding promotion strategies for the shortcomings.The first chapter focuses on the research background,research purpose and significance of this topic,domestic and foreign research review,research trends and prospects,research contents and methods and conducted a systematic exposition.Based on the summarization of relevant theoretical directions in the concepts,subjects,models,and abilities of science and technology communication at home and abroad,the research ideas of this topic are proposed.The second chapter summarizes the basic theories of interpersonal communication theory,media literacy theory,financial media theory and the corresponding status quo of the university students' science and technology communication ability in the convergence media era,and provides a direction for the next step of deconstructing university students' science and technology communication ability and model construction.Among them,interpersonal communication is the main form and channel for university students to carry out science and technology communication.Media literacy is an important ability for university students to spread science and technology.Giving full play to the power of financial media is the only way to improve the ability of university students to spread science and technology.In the third chapter,based on a large number of literature review and relat theoretical research,i determine the elements and build a model of science and technology communication ability of them in the convergence media era.I believe that the elements of university students' science and technology communication ability constitute a complete system,which includes the technology development ability with “knowledge” as the core element,academic communication ability with “fusion” as the core concept,science popularization ability with “skill” as the core guidance,and technical communication ability with “innovation” as the core approach,and a detailed analysis of the four kinds of capability elements is made based on cases.The fourth chapter conducts an empirical study of university students' science and technology communication ability in the convergence media era.Based on the model,i design a questionnaire for the “Science and Technology Communication Ability of University Students in the convergence media era”,and distribute 360 questionnaires for undergraduates,masters,and doctoral students in Wuhan.The following conclusions are drawn from the five dimensions of basic statistical knowledge,active awareness,media use,effect evaluation,and path selection: the respondents have a certain understanding of the basic concepts and status quo of the science and technology communication ability,but the ability of science and technology communication needs to be improved;they have enthusiasm for actively acquiring scientific and technological knowledge and information,but the initiative for the dissemination of scientific and technological information is weak;they have a growing number of media channels for the formation of science and technology ability and the spread of science and technology;it is widely believed that there is room for improving the effectiveness of science and technology communication in universities and countries;there is a positive demand for the use of multimedia channels to build their scientific and technological communication abilities,but the acceptance for academic exchange network such as Weibo,WeChat and mobile client and the convergence media network platform is not high.The fifth chapter analyzes the ways to enhance the ability of university students to spread science and technology in the convergence media era.Based on the comprehensive theoretical research and empirical research results,I propose that there are deficiencies in the science and technology communication ability of university students in the convergence media era: the lack of scientific and technological innovation capability,low conversion rate of technological achievements;weak awareness of popular science participation,low contribution rate of civil literacy;their media literacy needs to be improved,the active utilization of media is low.According to these deficiencies,I propose strategies for upgrading the university students' science and technology communication ability in the convergence media era from the perspectives of schools and individuals,firstly,the combination of production,study and research to enhance the scientific and technological innovation capability of university students;secondly,the transformation of the subject and object to enhance the scientific awareness of university students;thirdly,the cultivation of university students' technical literacy in the whole process.The sixth chapter summarizes the structure of the full text and the conclusions of the research.Based on this research,we make forward-looking predictions for other issues worthy of further study.Comprehensive research on the subject can draw the following conclusion: the science and technology communication ability of university students is an important part of the comprehensive ability system of them.It presents new connotations and features under different media communication background,and university students' science and technology communication ability shows the characteristics of specialization,openness,and diversification under the convergence media communication environment;the four elements of university students' science and technology communication ability form a interactive and supportive system,from the cultivation of Internet Thinking to the creation of convergent concepts to the practice of innovative approaches,university students complete the process of upgrading files from knowledge acquisition,skills development to ability acquisition;to enhance university students' science and technology communication ability in the convergence media era,universities should innovate the educational concept,attach importance to the integration of educational communication channels and educational communication content,and provide multi-perspective and allround access to improve university students' science and technology communication ability,complete the cultivation system of university students' science and technology communication ability and tap the ability of the university students' group deeply,at the same time,they should also take the initiative to establish the awareness of science and technology communication,enhance their science and technology communication quality,so as to achieve the maximum value of science and technology communication.
