| According to the newest online statistics, in China, around 461 million people read news via the Internet, and special topic Netnewsis popular now. Since 1998, when the World Cup was held in rance, domestic portal webs started reporting world-wide games. In the time of traditional media, elaborate and timely reports will attract more audience. Now, organization and presentation ofsport news within a special topic mode in sports channel of portal webs receives a favorable response. Because of the fast development of internet technology, text, voice, picture, and video can be presented on one media terminal. Consequently, a new mode of reporting called media convergence reporting has been formed.Sport special topic Netnews is a reporting format that focus on one sport event and using special topic web page to present comprehensive and decent information on the Internet media platform. Media convergence reporting is a mode of delivering news through a converged platform of text, picture, video, and audience interaction.This thesis studied media convergence in sport special topic Netnews through literature review, case study and logical analysis. Journalism and communication sciences such as agenda setting and media convergence theory were also introduced in the study.The development, challenges and front view of sport special topic Netnews was newly investigated and summarized based on study of media convergence. It is an innovation that discovering and solving problems in media convergence from the perspective of economics.The development of internet technology is rapid. However, based on the case study of current special topic reporting on portal webs, the development of sport special topic Netnews is on the early stage. Media convergence is not only a combination of multiple media, but also a fusion of reporting quality promotion and audience experience. |
