In recent years,the new curriculum reform has continued to develop deeply,many educational experts are constantly exploring new reading teaching models.Group reading is an emerging reading teaching model based on reading methods such as single reading,subject reading,and unit reading.Group reading is an effective way to promote students to do a large number of readings during the class.It plays an decisive role in the development of students' thinking,the cultivation of reading habits and the improvement of reading ability.However,the current teaching practice of group reading is mostly applied to the stage of compulsory education,which is rarely used in the teaching of novels in high school.Therefore,this thesis takes novel teaching as the starting point,and explores the teaching practice of group reading in the stage of high school,hoping to provide new teaching methods for the current high school teachers to carry out in the teaching of novels.This thesis mainly includes the following four aspects:The introduction part mainly introduces the research origin,research object,research status,research significance and research methods of the group reading teaching of novels in high school.Firstly,based on the clear concept of group reading,Chapter One analyzes the difference between group reading and single reading and distinguishes group reading and syntopical reading,so as to highlight the unique value and advantages of group reading.Secondly,it analyses the necessity of the group reading in the application of novel teaching in high school from four aspects: the need for modern reading informatization,the requirement of the new curriculum standard to the students,to make up the deficiency of traditional novel teaching,and to make up the insufficiency of classroom teaching resources.Finally,from three parts,it analyses the feasibility of the group reading in the application of novel teaching in high school,which includes the physical and mental development characteristics of high school students,the previous successful teaching experiences and the editing layout of elective novel materials.The second chapter mainly adopts the method of sample survey to have an insight into the application status of group reading in the novel teaching of high school.According to the survey,it can be indicated that there still exist some primary problems,such as the irrational allocation of the class time,the neglect of the extracurricular reading,and the insufficiency of teachers' organization ability of group articles.And then,in order to put forward the operation strategy of the group reading teaching of novels in high school more specifically,it analyses the reasons based on those problems.The third chapter mainly combines different procedures of group reading teaching,and puts forward the application strategy of the group reading teaching of novels in high school.The first application strategy is pre-class preparation,which mainly includes three aspects: determining the topic,selecting the text,and designing the problem.The second one is to expound the type of the group reading teaching of novels in high school based on different reading texts.The last one is using “reading” as a clue to present the class teaching process of the group reading teaching of novels in high school,which mainly includes four parts: reading by yourself,reading with each other,doing some expand reading and reading through practicing.The thesis aims to improve the current novel teaching situation in high school and build a dynamic,active and efficient novel teaching classroom.
