Local novels selected in the unified version of high school language textbooks reflect the tendency of using female images as a carrier to glorify or criticize vernacular culture,but teachers generally lack gender awareness when analyzing female images and neglect its cultural reflection value and gender education value.Based on gender theory,this study explores the content and strategies of group reading of female images in local novels by taking O Xiangxue,Benediction,Lotus Creek,and The Border Town as examples,promotes educational equity from a gender perspective through multiple interpretations of textbook selections,and then purposefully infiltrates gender education in the process of cultivating core literacy in language subjects and expands the research field of group reading.This paper is divided into three parts: the first part is the introduction,which firstly explains the background and significance,then clarifies the current research status and related concepts of "group reading of female images in local novels",and finally introduces the research method.The second part is the main text,which is divided into five chapters according to the textbook selection,teaching status,content and strategy.The first chapter compares the local novels with female characters in high school language textbooks,and analyzes the selection,characteristics and value of such texts from a gender perspective.The second chapter analyzes the current teaching situation of female characters in local novels based on teaching cases and questionnaires,and summarizes the problems in teaching from the perspectives of teaching mode,teaching content and students’ activities.The third chapter interprets the female images in O Xiangxue,Benediction,Lotus Creek,and The Border Town from four perspectives of appearance,language,behavior and situation based on gender theory,and explores the teaching content of group reading of female images in local novels from four aspects: language,thinking,aesthetics and culture.Chapter 4 proposes targeted and feasible teaching strategies for the problems in the current teaching situation from three elements: the determination of topics,the combination of texts and collective construction.The five chapter writes lesson plan on the basis of excellent lesson examples.The third part is the conclusion,which briefly summarizes the research ideas,research content,innovation points and shortcomings of this paper.To a certain extent,this paper makes up for the neglect of close reading and cultural values in previous studies,but the proposed teaching strategies need to be further tested in practice.
