| Group reading teaching refers to the process in which teachers and students choose a group of articles around one or more topics,and then conduct reading and collective construction around the topics,and finally reach a consensus.The teaching of group reading is a breakthrough of traditional teaching reform,which has positive significance for the development of students’ ability,the professional growth of teachers and the construction of Chinese curriculum.There are many researches on group reading,but few systematic researches on group reading in junior high school.To study group reading teaching,we must know what it is,why we should promote it and how to do conduct it.The teaching of group reading is characterized by openness,diversity,interactivity and inquiry,which is obviously different from the traditional single teaching,as well as the subject reading teaching and unit reading teaching.Group reading teaching in junior high school is greatly beneficial to the improvement of students’ reading interest and speed,the cultivation of students’ thinking ability and Chinese literacy,and the promotion of teachers’ professional development.However,in the practice of group reading teaching,some issues emerge,such as the dilution of the noumenon of Chinese,the inappropriateness of subject determination and the inappropriateness of text selection.To carry out the research on group reading teaching in junior high school,we should first clarify the teaching philosophy of group reading,i.e.to return to the noumenon of Chinese,to respect the subject of students,and to attach importance to the core accomplishment.Secondly,in order to realize collective construct and reach consensus on certain texts,it is necessary to define the elements and specific operational strategies of group reading teaching which provide a theoretical framework for the determination of topics,as well as the selection and combination of multiple texts.Then,it is necessary to inquiry the four common class types of group reading teaching,i.e.,group reading classes based on unit integration,class and after-class integration,extracurricular reading guidance,as well as comprehensive learning which require us to understand that each class type has its own characteristics,functions and design strategies.Finally,on the basis of practice,the thesis summarizes the specific teaching design method of group reading,i.e.four-step teaching method,and then elaborates the evaluation principles and approaches of group reading teaching.From the standpoint of teaching practice,the thesis conducts systematic research on group reading in junior high school,with purposes of providing some feasible methods and strategies to Chinese reading teaching. |
