| The public participation of our citizens is the positive attitude and action to participate in public affairs in an orderly manner and assume social responsibility,and directly perform the political rights and obligations endowed into the people as masters of the country.To cultivate teenagers the quality of public participation avails them to learn about the democratic management program,experience the value of democratic decision-making,sense the function of democratic supervision so as to strengthen the consciousness of morality,enhance public spirit and improve the ability of participation,and finally shape them responsible citizens.The basic idea of this thesis is to explore the methods and strategies to cultivate the quality of public participation in school curriculum of politics by means of analyzing the public participation theoretically,investigating the present situation of the public participation of senior high school students and searching the cause of its problem.On the one hand,the theoretical value of the study lies in clarifying the significance of senior high school courses of politics in cultivating students’ public participation attainment,enriching and expanding the theory of cultivating public participation quality of senior high school students,and promoting students’ public participation accomplishment under the new curriculum reform.On the other hand,the practical significance of the research aims at exploring the way of self nurturing of students’ public participation accomplishment and prompting the innovative development of the course of politics with the purpose of maintaining the society stable.The main content of this thesis is divided into three parts.In the first part,the basic theory of public participation quality is introduced as following: first of all,the concept of public participation and the quality of public participation,and then the introduction of the most representative of western participatory democracy theory,especially Marx’s theory about man’s all-round development and Dewey’s education theory.Furthermore,their theoretical guidance for the cultivation of the quality public participation will be discussed.In the second part,a survey about current situation of the quality of public participation of senior high school students in China and an analysis about the education problems are presented.According to the survey,senior high school students have their aspiration for public participation,and they also have some knowledge and a certain ability for public participation.However,there exist some problems in the process of their public participation,such as being short of common sense,being emotional and irrational,the educative cause of which is the prevalence of exam-oriented education,the backward teaching concept and traditional teaching methods etc.In the third part,it mainly discusses the methods of cultivating high school students’ public participation quality from two aspects of subject and activity curriculum.In classroom teaching,these strategies,adhering to the education concept of "life-oriented" teaching,optimizing the method of classroom teaching,integrating teaching resources and enriching teaching contents,will be effective to cultivate the public participation ability of high school students.In after-class teaching,the nurture of the public participation ability is mainly achieved through the construction of the school-based activity curriculum,the activities of campus journey of research and study and the creation of a global vision of education mode along with the social action of public participation. |
