Job burnout of primary school teachers is wide spread,it decreased the teacher’s education creativity,affect the teaching quality and some other negative consequences,such as reducing the students learning effect.Alleviating the job burnout of primary school teachers is a long and arduous task.Many researchers have gradually focused on the job burnout of primary school teachers,and have carried out many researches and proposed corresponding strategies.But a few researchers had sought to alleviate the problem of job burnout in the perspective of traditional Chinese values.Chinese traditional values represent unique Chinese value system.This deep-seated cognitive and behavioral tendency has a "traditional value orientation" response in the face of stress situations or problems.It can mitigate job burnout.In this study,we use convenience sampling as the sampling method to investigate 227 teachers in the primary school of Yucai primary school,Dongfeng west road primary school and Upstate road primary school.The traditional values of Confucian values(CSSMSS),and teacher’s burnout inventory(MBI-ES)were used as the main measuring tools analyzed through SPSS 21.0 software to test the level of traditional values,coping styles and job burnout in primary school teachers in Guangzhou and their differences on Demographic variables,and correlation analysis.We also study the regression analysis to the various dimensions of traditional Chinese values,coping style and job burnout of intermediary effect test.The results showed that:(1)The Confucian traditional values of the primary school teachers in Guangzhou do not change with gender,age,teaching age,educational background,marital status and whether to be head teacher in last year.The Confucian traditional values of the primary school teachers are relatively stable.In coping styles,female teachers are more likely to respond to requests for help.In job burnout,teachers of low technical title have much more diminished personal accomplishment than the teachers of high technical title.(2)The Confucian traditional values of Guangzhou primary school teachers have negative predictive effects on job burnout.Coping styles also have negative predictive effects on job burnout.And coping style significantly mediated the relationship of the Confucian traditional values and job burnout.Confucian traditional values can reduce job burnout through coping styles. |
