The excessive pressure of children in distress and the occurrence of behavioral deviations because of sudden changes or even violations have aroused the widespread concern of the government,academia and the society.The physical and mental development of children in distress is influenced by the poor sense of self-efficacy,lack of support from family and school,the low level of resilience.Children in distress,the vulnerable group,need the attention and help from the society.This study takes urban children in plight as research objects and attempts to analyze the needs,problems and the external resources of children in distress from the perspectives of the children in plight themselves,their family and school as well as the society by using the advantage perspective theory of social work methods through interviews and field observation.Combined with actual situations,group work of professional method in social work is applied to investigate the social work of resilience problem of some children in plight in M community in Changsha city and explore the useful ways of improving the resilience of the children in distress.According to the above approaches,it is better for children in distress to integrate into their family,school,communities and even society,to make them find and make use of their internal advantages,make full use of external favorable resources and stimulate their own potentials and improve the ability of solving problems and the sense of self-efficiency,which improves the resilience of the children in distress and facilitate the development of social work theory and practice in this field and,to some degree,solve the problem.
