Practice Intervention Of Structural Family Therapy On The Crisis Of "Two In One" Family

Since implementation of family planning policy in China in 1980 s,the concept of rural family and marriage pattern have hugely changed.The policy has brought world-shaking changes to rural community,and every family just could own only one child.With the only child grows up to the age of marriage,their marriage pattern is also changing." Two in One " family mode is rising in Lingtang autonomous town of Jiangsu province recently.That is to say,there is no concept of who is married or who marry.The parents of the new couple will both set wedding room for their children,and the couple must born two children after the marriage,one follow mother's surname,the other follow father's.This pattern is contract to the Chinese tradition that the child must follow their father's surname.What is more,the couple have duty to support their both parents and take care of the children together.Based on the investigation of this "Two in One" marriage mode in Lingtang autonomous town,the paper will introduce this special marriage mode in detail from the perspective of sociology including the causes of it's generation and rapid spreading and illustration of the effects on rural households.The rising of a marriage mode inevitably has its good and bad side,I will focus on crisis produced by the marriage model,and discuss the problems of the child's name,its nursing,where to live in for the couple after marriage and others.To ease the contradiction between family members and restore harmony of family life,I will use social work intervention with structured family therapy on the diagnosis and treatment in such family.This paper elaborates the reason why the author choose this topic and it defines several important concepts.Through efforts on some study research that are related to current "two in one " marriage mode,the author puts forward her own thinking of the marriage mode,and introduce the research methods which are used in this paper.The paper mainly introduces the "two in one" marriage mode: premarital consultation,the wedding process,life after marriage,bearing children.And it explains why the "two in one" marriage mode arise according to the family planning,economic conditions,and the traditional ideology.At the same time,it summaries the family crisis brought by "two in one" marriage mode and the negative effects brought by the crisis,including rural young couples' emotional and economic pressure.The most parts of the paper which uses deeply influenced young rural couples as the research objects elaborates the process that how the author uses structural family therapy to intervene in the family crisis.There are four steps in this therapy intervention :learning the family,evaluating family ties,mediating family ties,withdrew from the family.At the end of this paper,the author purposes to ensure family harmony and social stability according to the "two in one" family crisis intervention as well as the achievements and deficiencies being discussed.The author hope that readers know the marriage mode's impact on rural youth through the research on "two in one" marriage mode which is rising in Lingtang in recent years.At the same time,through the intervention of social work,the author hope to ease family disputes brought by "two in one" marriage mode,and to promote the growth of the individual,family harmony,so as to better safeguard social harmony.
