With the development of society, great changes have taken Chinese familystructure, family structure gradually diversified. Since80’s of last century,our countrydivorce number showed a rising trend, remarried families will become a commonhousehold type. In the research on remarriage family,stepfather/stepmother and son/daughter relationship has been widely concerned,and among them, and a commonproblem in the process of female with stepson, is because the stepfather/stepmotherpower shortage, and the family system caused by the weak and confused.This article will use the structural family therapy, intervention to acomposed of a pair of father and stepmother remarried families, to try to solve thestepmother lack of authority in the family. Social workers by the charity C,on relevantissues households were visited, and finally chose a typical family intervention.Treatment using structural family therapy from the body,and according to thecharacteristics of the stepmother and the child’s own,empowerment theory andcognitive behavior therapy mode respectively by the strengths perspective for assistedtreatment for his. The whole treatment process consists of15visits,7of which areentering the family,the8official intervention.Social workers successfully solve the case demands, improve thestepmother in the family authority, improve the stepdaughter habits and learningachievement. At the same time, social workers use theory of structural family therapyin practice, found its effectiveness in the local culture and the deficiencies, and putforward the flexible measures. Finally,the paper reviews the experience of socialworkers are summarized in practice, such as and case confidence building skills, andchildren’s interpersonal skills, hope can accumulate experience for the relevant socialwork practice in the future.
