Research On Social Work Intervention In The Path Of Community Development On Asset-based Perspective

In recent years,with the promotion of the social management innovation,on the one hand,the community as the most basic social unit is more and more important,but the community residents committee meet too many administrative burden,it needs to introduce social work to improve the whole community's service;on the other hand,after years of exploration,social work in the community service also meet a bottleneck,How to extend the service of vulnerable people in the community to the community,and it has become the focal place of the professional development of social work.The chronic diseases elderly community care is a typical example,it is not only related to community specific who suffering from chronic diseases of the elderly,but also associated with the whole community health care ability.Therefore,this research choose the case of the chronic diseases elderly community care program from K community M city,choose the Asset-Based Community Development model as theoretical framework of the study,using interview method?observation method and literature method to collect research data,track the whole process of the project,examine social workers in the process of the whole project is how to deal with the relationship between the chronic diseases elderly and community,what difficulties in the conversion process,and what is at the heart of the confusion,and put forward a recommended path.This study has been found:(1)From the transverse of the project time schedule,social workers treat chronic diseases elderly and community as different priorities in each stage,and each stage is isolation,but also promote each other.(2)Analyze from the longitudinal of the service activities,case?group or small-scale community activities is more micro activities and are focusing on the elderly chronic illness;large-scale community activities is macro activities and focus on community;volunteer activity is the key of service transition.The transition meet difficult are personal ability and environment system.The core confusion of social workers is antagonistic to the community assets service and the service of vulnerable groups in the community.On the basis of the study,social work how to intervention in the path of community development on the perspective of assets based,this study puts forward five suggestions:(1)On the support of the system should increase the government's capital investment,formulate scientific and standardized evaluation criteria.(2)Through training,increasing supervisor support to improve social workers'professional.(3)In collaboration with community residents' committees,comprehensive use and development the community assets.(4)Using the fusion view to look at the relationship between community service of asset-based and vulnerable groups service.(5)Promote the ability of the volunteer and cultivating they,because it is platform of the transformation.Therefore,improve the service's profession must to develop the community assets,not turn service to assets-based,but to focus on how to service the vulnerable groups and let they together.No matter in theory or in practice,this study provides the social work intervention in community development new discoveries and thoughts.Due to the limited research time and the ability of the researcher,however,this study still have some limitations.Because the research involves the service object is very wide and there are may be missing when choosing the case,and for the concept of the asset did not in-depth study and discussion,collected by the assets'administrative levels is insufficient,on the data processing is more on the construction and understanding of the researchers,therefore,there may be have bias on conclusions and recommendations.This study is divided into six chapters:The first chapter is introduction,describes the background,question,purpose and significance.The second chapter is literature review,which include community development,social work involved in community development and community chronic elder services;and made clear that this study is to explore the relations of the elderly chronic diseases and community.The third is research design,which chose the Asset-Based Community Development as framework of research theory and a case study of the chronic elderly community care service project of K community,determine the research data collection method and the research approach.The fourth chapter is study found,which analyzed the relationship of the elderly chronic diseases and community from the transverse of the project time schedule and the longitudinal of the service activities.The fifth chapter is research discussion,which discuss the difficulties in the conversion process and what is the heart of the confusion,and put forward a recommended path.The sixth chapter is conclusion,which are summarized the discussion and found,and reflect on the limitations of this study.
