| Against the background of population aging,the elderly population is increasing.Due to the decline of physical function and low physical fitness of the elderly,the probability of the elderly suffering from chronic diseases is much higher than that of other groups.To a certain extent,chronic diseases have a huge impact on the physiology and psychology of the elderly.The special group of the elderly with chronic diseases should attract more attention and attention from the society.The survey found that with the rapid development of the economy,the material living needs of the elderly with chronic diseases in most communities have been basically met.However,due to a variety of factors,the psychological problems of the elderly with chronic diseases are more prominent,especially depression.The number of chronically ill elderly people experiencing depression is increasing,and alleviating the chronically ill elderly people’s depression has become a professional problem that needs to be solved urgently.The purpose of this study is to use the professional theory and professional methods of social work to study the current situation of depression in the elderly with chronic diseases,analyze the causes of the problems,and explore the methods and approaches to relieve depression in the elderly with chronic diseases through the intervention of group social work.The general goal of this paper is to alleviate the depression of the chronically ill elderly.On the basis of relevant research literature,using the three professional theories of the dominant perspective theory,the social support network theory,and the ecosystem theory,the research is carried out on the chronically ill elderly people with depression in the X community in Shenyang City.In the group social work research,12 elderly people with chronic diseases were selected as the main research objects,and the methods and approaches of group social work intervention in the elderly with chronic diseases to relieve depression of the elderly with chronic diseases were explored.First,collect data through questionnaires,semi-structured interviews,quantitative measurements,etc.and conduct a questionnaire survey on 200 chronically ill elderly people in the X community to understand the basic situation of chronically ill elderly people and whether they have depression.Secondly,using the Self-rating Depression Scale in the Elderly to conduct auxiliary analysis,it was found that the elderly with chronic diseases in X community generally have depression symptoms such as inferiority complex,helplessness,loneliness,neglect and increased mental stress.Afterwards,according to the survey results of the questionnaire and the scale,the causes of depression in the elderly with chronic diseases were summarized and analyzed from four aspects:their own factors,family member relationship factors,community factors,and social factors.By designing targeted group activities and carrying out group activities in the community,change the unreasonable beliefs of the chronically ill elderly,adjust the unreasonable relationship between the chronically ill elderly and their families,strengthen the connection between peer groups,and promote communication within the group,thereby improving Their low self-esteem,loneliness,and helpless depression finally enhance the sense of security,belonging and existence of the elderly with chronic diseases in the community by enhancing their emotional self-regulation ability and building a social support network for mutual assistance among the elderly with chronic diseases.Client assessments,follow-up visits,and social worker assessments for group work after the event.The innovation of this paper is firstly reflected in the innovation of perspective.In the previous literature research,the research on the elderly with chronic diseases mainly focused on medicine and nursing,and rarely involved the research on depression in the elderly with chronic diseases.A study of depression in elderly people with chronic diseases involved in one dimension.Secondly,in the process of carrying out group activities and follow-up visits for the elderly with chronic diseases in this paper,it is necessary not only to mobilize the enthusiasm of the elderly with chronic diseases,but also to expand their social support network,so that their families can participate in the activities of the support group,which is more conducive to Compare the effect of client before and after intervention.The disadvantage of this paper is that the sample size is relatively small,which cannot represent all the elderly with chronic diseases,and has a certain bias. |
