Analyses Of Chinese Teaching Channel On YouTube In Korea

With the increasing comprehensive national strength of China,more and more Korean begin to learn Chinese and understand China.The progress of modern science and technology,especially the rapid development of Korean network technology and the popularization of smart phones and mobile learning,also promote the development of Chinese education in Korea.Korean Chinese education institutions will promote Chinese education through the network,APP and smart phones.YouTube is the world’s largest free video sharing app.Because YouTube is free,everyone is willing to watch and share videos on it.YouTube has various foreign language teaching videos of English,Japanese,Korean and so on.In order to keep up with the changes of the times,Korean Chinese education institutions and individuals have set up Chinese teaching channels on YouTube,and have achieved good results.Nowadays,many Korean people learn Chinese through Chinese teaching videos on YouTube.This study will observe and analyze the Chinese language teaching channel on YouTube for Chinese learners in Korea,analyze its advantages,characteristics and reasons for success,in order to put forward constructive suggestions and promote the development of such teaching videos.This study chooses the most popular YouTube Chinese teaching channels for Korean learners:"Shili TV" and "Real Chinese".Through a specific analysis of the content of the Chinese teaching channel,this study finds that the success of YouTube Chinese teaching channel lies in the consideration of cross-cultural thinking and perspective between China and Korea.These videos were produced by Chinese and Korean teachers,or by Chinese who understand Korean culture.The learning content is closely related to the daily life of Chinese people,and the form of expression are lively,but the shortcomings are lack of content system,full user self-discipline,and lack of advanced curriculum content.These findings are specific and practical,and directly contribute to the further development of YouTube Chinese teaching channels.Based on the above findings,for the YouTube Chinese teaching videos for Korean,this article proposes a conversation course for senior Chinese learners and develop the interested topic for young learners,hoping to be helpful for these Chinese teaching channels.
