A Research Of Chinese Songs Assisting TCFL

Music is "the second language of mankind",it can convey information,express feeling and can be used as a bridge to connect between humankind and nature.Music is essential in assisting teaching,and serves as an effective language acquisition method,as it can arouse students’ interest and enhance the motivation of students.The Chinese songs are delicately rhythmical,and can embody basic and commonly used grammatical points in the lyrics.To promote the teaching effect of grammatical points in TCFL,this thesis analyzes the feasibility of the material,and chooses proper Chinese songs for texts in Road to Success,from lower elementary level to elementary level.Besides,a certain grammatical point is selected as a particular case,and by comparing it with the traditional teaching method,this thesis introduces how to teach with the assisting grammatical points,and provides a new teaching method and practice design.The thesis is made up of five parts.The first part is the introduction,including the purpose and significance of the subject the thesis chooses,the background of the researching,research methods as well as innovative points.This thesis discusses about the theoretical basis and practical evidence of applying Chinese songs in the teaching of grammatical points of TCFL,and introduces the feasibility analysis and investigation in the second part.The third part is the introduction of current supplementary textbooks as well as supplementary songs that are suitable for teaching grammatical points in Road to Success.The analysis covers the selection of Chinese songs,the summary of grammatical points in the Chinese songs,teaching adaptability of the teaching mode as well as song selection symbol in multi-dimensional manners.In the fourth part,taken comparative sentences in the text as an example,the teaching design and extended activities are done on the basis of the Chinese song.The Song of Fifth Ring,and the actual effect comparison about the class atmosphere and quiz is concluded.Positive effects,shortcomings as well as problems are pointed out by further statistical analysis of Chinese songs assisting TCFL.The concluding part summaries the whole thesis and discusses about innovative points and weakness in the thesis.
