Applied Research Of Group Work In Patient Self-management

Improving the self-management ability of patients is conducive to the rehabilitation of patients or improving the quality of life during treatment,and reducing the burden of family care.However,this topic is a relatively new research in the clinical practice of medical social workers,and researchers need to explore new paths.This article takes cancer patients who have just been diagnosed and receiving treatment in the Cancer Hospital of G Province as the research object.Through interviews,participatory observation methods,scale measurement and other methods,the current situation and problems of cancer patients' self-management in the ward are studied.Based on this research,according to the social support theory and the energizing theory,according to the needs of patients,they organized group work to explore how to improve the self-management ability of patients through group work methods.In this study,by summoning medical staff,psychological counselors,nutritionists,rehabilitation specialists,patients and social workers to participate in the self-management ability improvement group of the patient,the group's effectiveness was evaluated,and the group's activities finally found the following effects:(1)patients Rehabilitation confidence has been improved;(2)Patient information channels have been expanded,and the satisfaction of information needs has been improved;(3)Patient life in the hospital is more abundant and quality;(4)Patient self-efficacy is improved.Based on this,this study draws the following conclusions:(1)group work can provide professional help to improve the self-management ability of patients;(2)strengthen the management of information,daily life,emotions,etc.by providing access to disease knowledge,Build a social support system composed of medical staff,psychological counselors,nutritionists,rehabilitation specialists,patients,socialworkers,etc.,to provide a more professional,systematic and comprehensive group self-management team work path.On this basis,this study further proposes to build a long-term mechanism for improving the self-management ability of patients from the aspects of enhancing the ability of patients,optimizing patient self-management methods,vigorously promoting patient self-management,and building social support networks.
