ObjectiveTo compare the differences in imaging characteristics of the nodular sulcus entrance pattern on the MRI axial image of the shoulder joint between patients with biceps brachii tendon and biceps femoris without lesions. To explore the correlation between the morphology of the nodular sulcus entrance and the biceps tendon lesions.MethodsRetrospectively included 40 patients with biceps tendon lesions admitted to our hospital from August 2015 to August 2017,and 40 patients with biceps brachii stenosis without lesions, using the AW4.6 workstation of the PACS system.Functool software measured and collected the Width of bicipital groove(BGW)of the shoulder joints and the highest point between the medial and lateral points of the internodal groove, and the intercondylar notch of the tibial joint on the MRI axial image of the shoulder joint.Depth of bicipital groove(BGD),Humeral head medial diameter(HHD),the highest point in the medial and lateral aspect of the internodal groove, the longest distance to the contralateral cortex of the humeral head, and the long head of the biceps brachii Diameter of biceps tendon(BTD),opening angle(OA),angle of opening of the inner and outer side walls of the internodal groove, medial wall angle(MWA),medial wall of the internodal groove and nodules The angle between the highest point of the inner and outer grooves of the trench is statistically analyzed.ResultsThe average open angle(OA)of the observation group was 103.99°±14.02°.The average OA value of the control group was 85.53°±16.42°.The open angles of the two groups were statistically significant(p=0.002).The internode depth and width ratio(R1)averaged 0.39±0.16,and the control group R1 averaged 0.47±0.09.The RI values of the two groups were statistically significant(P=0.02);the tibial nodular groove width(BGW)),the intertrochanteric sulcus depth(BGD),the maximum diameter of the humeral head(HHD),the biceps brachii tendon diameter(BTD),the medial opening angle(MWA),and the intertidal sulcus depth and the maximum diameter of the humeral head. The ratio of the ratio(R2)was not statistically different between the two groups(P>0.05).Comparison of the classification of nodular sulcus entrance between the two groups showed that in the observation group, there were 1 in the nodular sulcus, accounting for 2.5%,31 in the normal form, accounting for 77.5%,and 8 in the shallow form.In the control group, there were 4 in the nodular sulcus, accounting for 10%,35 in the normal form, accounting for 87.5%,and 1 in the shallow form,2.5%.ConclusionsThe open angle(OA)of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group, while the ratio of depth to width of the intercondylar sulcus(R1)was significantly lower than that of the control group, while other indicators had no statistical difference. At the same time, the observation group had fewer narrow grooves but more shallow grooves. It indicates that the shallower the biceps brachial sulcus, the more likely it is to cause the biceps tendon lesions.
